About this site

Hello, I'm Jim Roepcke, a passionate software developer and computer scientist.

I returned to the University of Victoria in 2004 after working as a software developer for ten years. I will graduate with B.Sc. majoring in Computer Science in April 2008.

My interests are varied, but I am focusing on Programming Languages and Software Development environments/tools. I am also very interested in operating systems, software engineering, and algorithms.

This site is a place for me to publish my research and software, and essays related to those topics.

I have a weblog, but I'd prefer to keep this work separate from that site.

Origin of "Willing to Fail"

I wrote a background piece that explains why I named this site Willing To Fail.
